This is not a blog.  This is a chronicle, and something for the police to use in the event I get murdered by a comic book villain.

On Wednesday the 4th of April, at 4:38pm, I received a text from my father;

As you can tell, this was a surprise.
I was at university at the time, and so went to the library to have a look at what had arrived.

This is what greeted me in my inbox;

You would be surprised how far "What the fuck?!" can travel through a quiet university library.  But that's not all, it came with a note embossed with my initials.

I've quite artistically blanked out the last two lines because this is where I
 believe the riddle is, and it would be very poor form for me to get help
 from the wider public.

My first though was that this was some Keyser Söze shit with a Batman twist, but then I began going through which one of my friends could have done this.  Who would have the time and patience to craft this, and create the note?  Why was it dropped at my parents' place and not mine?  Does that mean they don't know I moved... Lots of questions, very few answers.

It occurred to me that no doubt one or more of my friends would be waiting for some sort of confirmation that their little present was received.  So I decided to reach out to them and give them the message.

So I learned a couple of interesting things from this post.
1) Jay clearly had no idea.  So you can relax Jay, you're safe.
2) Likes from both Jez Wood and Josh Martin.  Very suspicious.  These likes may be innocent thumbs up to the Princess Bride reference... or maybe not.  Jez & Jennings, you've just made the list.

It's safe to say that currently I have no idea who is behind this.  This could well be a one off thing, maybe there'll be no further contact.  Somehow I doubt it.

Join me next time when I'll show the whole of the note, as I'll either have solved it, or run out of time.

And I've just realised something.  I'm shit at solving riddles.
